Natural Language Processing

Scholarships

Thirty ACL Scholarships will be available on a competitive basis, covering the cost of registration, accommodation, and some meals (worth approx A$650, 400 Euros, US$500). Students will need to cover their own travel costs.

The (extended) deadline for scholarship applications is 15 May 2006.

Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria, listed in order of importance:
  1. commitment by student's institution to fund travel to Australia
  2. whether the student has a paper accepted at the COLING/ACL conference or a satellite event
  3. student's curriculum vitae
  4. relevance of school program to student's research project

Please tell us the name of your advisor, and ask that person to email his/her reference directly to us, also as a PDF or plain text file. Please ask your advisor to tell us how you will be funded to travel to Australia. Letters of reference must arrive by the 15 May deadline.
