IT @ MelbourneAll courses in IT at Melbourne begin with the first year Informatics subjects. Undergraduate CoursesComputing studies at university are unlike Information Technology subjects at school. No particular computing background is expected before starting a computing degree. There are prerequisite subjects for each degree course. Please check with the latest official University publications for admissions details. The way you learn at university is also different. There are various support schemes at the departmental, faculty, and university level; (see list below) for those unfamiliar with the subject or style of learning. Courses in computing at the University of Melbourne are flexible.
All three Bachelor degrees offer a direct pathway to a Master's degree. Contact the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) for information about enrolment in an undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne. International students should contact the International Office for details of application procedures. Starting in 2008In 2008 the University introduced a landmark educational reform known as the 'Melbourne Model'.
